Purdue has committed to four players in the 2018 class, including five-star point guard Devin Thompson.
Sources told 247Sports that the Purdue commit was originally slated to be a true-freshman.
Now that Thompson has committed, the commitment is officially official, and the commit’s name will be included in the class.
Thompson’s decision to leave Purdue and head to Texas means that there are currently four true freshmen in the 2019 class, a class that has already made the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.
The 2019 class will also be the first Purdue to win the Big Ten regular season championship.
Purdue has committed 14 players in 2019.
