Duke Basketball recruiting: UConn’s Jabari Brown is expected to be one of three new faces at the school

MIAMI — The recruiting of Jabari “Boom Boom” Brown is getting serious, sources told The Associated Press.

Brown is one of several recruits expected to arrive at Duke on Saturday, sources said, as the Blue Devils seek to improve on last season’s 12-win campaign.

Brown, a 6-foot-7 senior, has already visited the ACC and the Big Ten, sources confirmed to AP.

Brown has visited Kansas State, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio State, sources familiar with the recruiting process told AP.

Duke is expected try to land a big name this week with the signing of former UConn guard Anthony Brown and the signing this week of guard Aaron Brown, sources say.

Brown and Aaron Brown have been linked in trade rumors, with the former one of the top-rated guards in the class of 2018, and the latter is a senior who is expected as the third member of a Duke class that is expected at least to add a senior.

The Duke-UConn game is expected in the coming weeks.

Brown averaged 17.5 points and 6.9 rebounds for UConn in the ACC regular season, and averaged 6.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in the Big East tournament, where he shot 51 percent.
