India’s cricket team to face South Africa in ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier

The India cricket team will play South Africa, who will play India in a five-match ODI series, in a two-match T20 Blast tournament in the ICC Cricket Global Series (CCGS) at the end of March, the country’s government said on Friday.

The T20 tournament will be played between India and South Africa at a venue of Jamshedpur in Gujarat state, the government said in a statement. 

The Indian team is expected to field in a squad of 20 players. 

India, which will also play South African and Sri Lanka, are the second-ranked team in the world, behind only South Africa. 

In the T20, the Indian team will field players from the World XI squad that won the World Cup in 2019. 

“The India cricket side will be able to face the South African team in a three-match series in the ODI cricket world cup,” the government statement said. 

According to the Indian government, the ICC’s T20 World Cup will be held in 2019-20, in which India and the West Indies will be represented.
