Texas basketball recruits Memphis’ Zach Ward

The 6-foot-7 freshman guard from Memphis is a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports, but he has been a bit under-recruited as of late.

Memphis is the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2016 class, according with 247Sports.

The 6-7 guard from Tennessee, is rated a three-star recruit by Rivals, which is a huge jump from the No 2 recruiting position in the country last year, according.

But he is ranked just a couple of spots behind Texas, which has six other three-stars.

That’s good news for Memphis, which needs help on the perimeter, but it is a bit of a blow for Texas, considering they were the No 3 overall recruit in the class, 247Sports has him ranked as the No 12 overall prospect.

Memphis was a member of the 2017 Class, but the 2017 class was so disappointing, that they could not bring in a top-10 class, and it ended up being a massive letdown.

The 2017 class also included three-year lettermen like Kasey Hill and Mike Harris.
