What does it take to become a healthcare recruiting recruiter?
The 2020 recruiting class is still months away, and we’ve already heard about a few of the players we’ll be hearing from, including the likes of RB Melvin Gordon and DE/OLB Shaq Lawson.
But there’s still plenty of time for recruiters to learn from the successes and failures of the first batch.
Here are six key things you need to know to get your recruiting game up to snuff.1.
Know the 2019 recruiting class:The 2019 class is a little bit different than the 2020 class, which is an even bigger deal.
The 2019 class will have a much larger pool of potential recruits than the 2019 class.
That means more players to consider and a bigger pool of pros to choose from.
It also means you’re more likely to get the same or a similar profile from the top prospects.

Choose your pros wiselyThe 2018 class was a bit of a bust for recruitings, with only two of the top three players (WR Chris Godwin and DT Isaiah Pead) making it to the combine.
That led to some confusion on the recruitment side as to which players made the cut.
In order to get a good idea of what the 2019 roster will look like, it’s important to have a sense for the pros and cons of the three- and four-star prospects that were at the combine, and it’s also important to understand what the pros want from you.
The 2018 class also had one of the biggest departures in the history of the program, with the departure of TE Jordan Reed.
You need to keep an eye on the pros to figure out how to get an accurate picture of who the pros really want to be.3.
Find your local prosAfter the 2019 draft, we’ll have a better idea of how successful the 2019-2020 class was.
But if you’re looking for a solid base to build off, look to the states that have the most local recruiting power.
California has more than three times the amount of potential prospects than any other state, and New York has more players in the 2019 classes than any state.
You’ll need to be a little more creative with your recruiting strategy if you want to hit the ground running with your 2019 class, as you’ll have to get some local recruiting talent on board to take advantage of their unique recruiting dynamics.4.
Find a school that’s a leader in recruiting1.
A school like USC, Texas A&M, Oregon or Texas A+ isn’t going to give you a whole lot of guidance on how to build your recruiting network.
But the best ways to find a school to recruit are to find out who’s recruiting in the states you’re interested in and then get a feel for the schools that have an impressive pipeline of potential players.
If you’re considering one of those schools, you’ll want to do everything you can to get to know the pros who’ll be competing in the upcoming combine.2, Get in touch with the coaches of the schools you’re targeting in your recruiting planThis is the second time in a few years that a head coach has had to take action after recruiting was in trouble due to the 2018 recruiting class.
In 2017, USC head coach Clay Helton was fired by head coach Pete Carroll after the 2018 class fell short of the expectations of recruits.
He eventually found a new head coach and brought in new head coaches in the form of Lane Kiffin and Lane Kravitz.
This year, Helton is in a similar situation.
It’s still a ways away from the 2020 recruiting pool, but it’s looking like a pretty good place to find success.
The Trojans had the No. 1 overall class in the country in 2018 and are currently ranked No. 2 in the 2018 247Sports Composite.
